Before

Heavenly Father,

You are a God who initiates. Before there was a world, you created. While we were dead in our sins, your son died. Before we even know what we need, you are working to provide it. Your spirit draws people to yourself who have not reached out to you. We love because you first loved us. When I feel like the weight of everything is on my shoulders, remind me that I can take your yoke upon which is easy, and your burden is light. You are moving and working in all things, everywhere, all at the same time. Sustaining creation does not tax you. Everything we can perceive and even that which we cannot was designed by you before the foundations of the world. So give us rest in you. In the very midst of the tumult of life, let us find our rest.
