Beginning Week

Heavenly Father,

Another week begins. With it comes another set of tasks to complete and worries to occupy my mind. Remind me to cast all my cares upon you. Remembering the lilies of the field and the birds of the air, help me to be anxious about nothing. The future is in your loving hands. You are faithful at all times and in all things. I feel my need for you for the wisdom and endurance to make it through this coming day. May I act as though each task I work on is an offering of worship to you. Keep yourself first in my mind as I go about my day. I long to live in the pleasures of dependence and faith. You are truly God. The meaning of everything and everyone flows directly through you. You are love, defining love by your being. May I be characterized by love today.
