Beyond

Heavenly Father,

I try to wrap my mind around your glory and holiness. It does not fit in my head. I cannot conceive. You have revealed the truth about yourself in your living and written word. Yet my finite human reason cannot infer the fullness of it from what has been shown. I am led to error by my logic that cannot reconcile your attributes. My limited perspective on the visible universe, let alone the invisible, impairs my attempts to fathom your works. So I offer you the praise I can, trusting that more will be revealed. Show me your glory not for my vain desires to understand but so that I may praise you in greater measure. Let me see your mighty deeds so that I may lift thanksgiving to you. Make my life a spiritual act of worship unto you.

In the name of your perfect image. Amen.
