Beyond Us

Heavenly Father,

I lift your name up this morning in praise. You are the God who rules over all things. Each moment you sustain creation by your power. You transcend the entire universe while at the same time being close to each one of us. Our human minds cannot contain the most minuscule fraction of what it is to be you. So we can only cling to your revelations to us. You have given your living and written word to us that we may know you. Fill us with the desire to delve into the mysteries of the Godhead. Transform us more and more into your perfect image as we sit in your presence and gaze on your loving face. May we gain a visceral understanding of the truth that will never be swayed by the doctrines of this world. Grant us the wisdom that comes from following your paths over a lifetime. Let our conversations be saturated with praises of you. Fill our lives with deeds of justice and love that rise to you as fragrant offerings.
