Bridge

Heavenly Father,

I bless your holy name. You are far above all the hosts of heaven. Through your strong right arm, you guide and protect your people. You are eternally faithful. Your promises stand firm from everlasting to everlasting. Even when I fail you, you remain true to your covenant. My inheritance in your son is as secure as the world is on its foundations. You sit enthroned in heaven and do whatever you please. I can but wonder at your ways. Your thoughts and purposes are so far beyond my ability to imagine. Yet your divine otherness, which infinitely separates me from you, is no barrier at all to you. You reach across and enable me to cry out to you Abba Father. You hear my prayers. In ways that I do not comprehend, my requests join together with all those from your people and change the course of people and nations. Hear me this morning as I ask you for the wisdom and strength to live this day as a glorious offering to you. Keep me in the center of your will, not straying toward legalism or licentiousness. Bring the fulfillment of your kingdom.
