Broken World

Heavenly Father,

Our hearts break over the state of the world. The perfect universe you created has been corrupted from one end to the other by fallen humanity. It seems like nothing is as it should be. You are a God of order and justice, yet chaos and injustice reign around this broken world. Soften our hearts to the suffering of those you have placed around us. Help our thoughts to not only include grand designs and lofty visions but also practical steps. Make your great body the Church arise and serve the downtrodden and afflicted. Teach us our part in your plan to bring heaven down to earth and give us the courage and strength to follow through.
