Busyness

Heavenly Father,

Meet me today amid my busyness. My todo list is long, and my heart is pulled in a dozen different directions. Keep me aware of you while I do the work set before me. Let me do my work as an offering of love to you. As hard as it is to believe sometimes, you created work, and it is good for a man to put his shoulder to the plow when he is young. So fill me with joy this day. Don’t let the recriminations of previous sloth distract me from the present need. At the same time, show me how much more there is to life than work. Prevent me from becoming myopic and missing the beauty of your design.
