City

Heavenly Father,

You are God and greatly to be praised. I love you, and I long to love you more. Make me a conduit of your love and grace to the world. Pour into me your good gifts that I may overflow to those in need around me. Fill me with a desire to see your name glorified. Give me the determination to relentlessly serve those who are hurting and lost. I know you are at work in this city. Show me where I may come alongside you to be your instrument. Let there not be a single place in this city where you are not known. I pray for all this with the knowledge that large parts of my heart are not there yet. Forgive the coldness of my passions. Also, purify my spirit. Give me compassion for those you have placed around me. Show me your love that I may love my neighbor as you do. You will transform this city, let me be a part of the process.
