Cling

Heavenly Father,

I am reminded of my weakness and smallness. So many of the things that affect my life are out of my control. I find myself plagued with doubt and worry. Anxiety stands at the door. Help me, gracious father. Fill me with the truth of your faithfulness to drive out all doubts. Let perfect love cast out my fear. Soothe my body from its anxious idling. I need you this morning. There is nothing outside of your control. All the things that seem to be spiraling around me are subject to your sovereignty. I ask you to work and bring certainty and clarity to my life. If you deign that I need to walk through this time, give me the faith and hope to endure it with you. Help me to cling tightly to you. Shelter me in your glorious presence.
