Communing

Heavenly Father,

I thank you for the gift of prayer. In your infinite, unsearchable wisdom you have deemed that we should come before you to praise, thank, request, confess, and even simply to be. In your boundless grace, you meet us in our prayers. We can experience you in a unique and special way through this connection. In ways that are mysterious to us, our prayers interact with your will to change the universe. But right now I thank you for the unfathomable fact that prayer connects us to you. I ask that you would remain faithful to share the gift of your very presence with your children. Forge our minds and hearts into the shape that can best experience the blessedness of communion with holiness itself.
