Devotion

Heavenly Father,

You are the Lord, ruler of all things visible and invisible. All things are in subjugation to your will. I ask that you would tame the sinful impulses in my heart. I desire to obey you, but I find myself doing what I do not want to do. Do not let my mind wander from the paths of righteousness into the valleys of death. Wash me white as snow. Keep me pure that I may honor you in thought, word, and deed. By the power of your spirit, engage my intellect, heart, and spirit in studying your word. May I bring my whole being before you in prayer, offering praise, thanksgiving, confession, and supplication. When I leave this time of morning devotion, may I not leave your presence. As I work and play, help me do all things to your glory.
