Distractions

Heavenly Father,

I cry out to you this morning. I cry out to you, feeling unaware of my desperate need for you. The panoply of distractions of modern life is numbing my heart. Cut through the layers of dross and reach into my very soul. May my spirit leap in recognition of its maker. Fill me with the joy of your presence. Surrounding you are immeasurable treasures. May I partake of you this morning of solitude and throughout the day's activities. Do not let me be captured by pointless pursuits, but in everything may I seek to glorify you. Teach me to honor you with my time.
