Fallen World

Heavenly Father,

I come before you, loving father. So much of this world is not right. There is evil, suffering, and death. Subjugate all things to your will. You are a God of good, joy, and life. Bring about the restoration of this fallen world. Even your people are still beset with sin. Purify your body. Put to death the infection that plagues it. Your holiness shines forth in the darkness that surrounds us. Help me to fix my eyes on your perfect visage. By spending time in your word and with you, transform my affections to be impassioned by you. Ignite my joy that I may be a light reflecting your radiance to the world. I do love you, but my love is feeble and weak. Strengthen my heart so that I may love you more and more each passing hour. Expand my awareness that I would notice my neighbors you have put around me so that I may love them as you do.
