Glorify You Today

Heavenly Father,

You are the glorious one. Your greatness echoes through the heavens and earth. In you is everything that is praiseworthy. I call forth to your mighty power. I have another day before me, and though it feels mundane, I long for the transcendent. There are tasks and appointed times that must be attended to. It seems so very ordinary. Let me see you amid the minutia. Be with me today. Give me not only the strength and patience I need to get through today but the wisdom and love I need to glorify you in it. Help me to lift my eyes to Christ, who sustains me. May my work and play today both be worship unto you. Steer me away from all temptation. Let your sweetness overpower the allure of sin. You are sovereign over all of my days, including this one. Be with me as I walk in it.
