In God Alone

Heavenly Father,

In you alone does salvation rest. The storehouses of goodness and love are in your being. Every flash of truth is a result of your grace. I am but a creature, finite and weak. I cannot do the things I set my mind to and find myself doing the very things I resolved not to do. Who can save me from this wretched state? You alone. So I come to you, merciful father. Strengthen my affection for you. Enhance my desire for righteousness. Show me that your ways are better than those that tempt and seduce me. May I ever walk in your way. Without the power of your spirit, I am helpless. So, fill me up to overflowing. Teach me to live out of the truth of who I am in Christ.
