Indifference

Heavenly Father,

I feel like I need to check this prayer off the list of things to do. I am not feeling a desire to be close to you and let you wrap your loving arms around me. So let me recount your great gifts in the hope it will fan the embers in my heart to flame. You have given me life, knitting me together in my mother’s womb. You have pursued me from my youth, constantly using your word, creation, and those around me to proclaim who you are. You have called me, reaching into my heart and grabbing me, pulling me to yourself. You have saved me, taking away the shame of my sin and making me right before you. You continue to love me with perfect love. Throughout my life, you have been the pivot point causing all of my darkest seasons to begin to brighten. I praise you, father, for you are amazing.
