Living God

Heavenly Father,

You are the God who lives.  Besides you, there is none other.  The heavens declare your glory, echoing back the voice that formed them.  The galaxies came to be so that your vision of a universe would be fulfilled.  The great things in the cosmos began as a thought in your mind.  You conceived the grand plan of how all that is would unfold.  You weave together the tapestry of history containing the story of all who ever lived, are living, and will ever live.  We are in awe of even the most minor deeds you perform.  We cannot begin to fathom the depth of the wonders you have ordained.  The mysteries of creation elude our brightest minds; how much more does the creator?  We can only perceive you through your revelation.  How much more of your infinite beauty exists outside our ability to grasp or imagine?  Reveal more of yourself to us so that we may praise you more accurately.  Though we are the crowning jewel of the works of your hand, we are feeble and limited.  We offer the praise we can with sincerity, but we know it is a pale imitation of the praise you deserve.  Transform us into beings that love and honor you more fully.
