Loving

Heavenly Father,

Help me to love all of those made in your image. Let me see the divine spark inside them that I may treat them with the honor they deserve. Fan the flames of affection for those that I find easy to love that my love my become more perfect. Ignite the embers of caring for those that I find hard to love that I may overcome my hard-heartedness. Pour your love into my life that I may come to regard myself with gentleness and respect, for I too bear your image. Make my existence a stream of living water that brings those around me to life. Open my eyes that I may see those who are hurting and in need and have compassion on them, leading to service. Overcome the desire to pull inward and ignore those you have placed around me. Also, overcome the temptation to focus on things that are too big and abstract to be present in the moments you have given me.
