My Lover

Heavenly Father,

You are the architect of the universe. You are the engineer who designed the ways and rules of creation. You are the artist who devised every sunrise. You are the king who rules over the courses of empires and nations. You are the lover who passionately pursues me. I am humbled by your presence. Yet you lift my head and call me friend. It is too much for me. I cannot contain it in my intellect or emotions. Speak your truth into the very depths of my soul. I am yours. You came down from heaven and sought me out. You bought me at a tremendous and terrible price. I can but offer back my meager praises. I have nothing that was not a gift from you. My very breath is a token of your grace. So, thank you for the myriad of ways you have blessed me. Teach my heart ever greater gratitude and tune my voice to sing your praises. Majestic Lord, Loving Father, Daddy, I love you.
