Praise and Thanks

Heavenly Father,

I bless your holy name. Your majesty and splendor are beyond the capabilities of language. Your holiness is far beyond human comprehension. The smallest facet of your being eclipses human imagination. Even so, I praise you, imperfect and incomplete as it may be. By your spirit and word, I can begin to get a picture of who you are. So I lift up your infinitudes of love and grace back to you as an act of worship. I do know many of your acts of kindness to me, but I also know that it is but the tip of an unending iceberg. So I thank you that you have provided for and protected me throughout my life. I thank you all the more for the myriad of things of which I have no idea. The exercise of searching for your deeds expands my mind and heart’s capacity for gratitude. Reveal more and more of yourself to me so I may glorify you more fully. Teach your people to rejoice in you. You have made us to enjoy you forever.
