Prayer for Obedience

Heavenly Father,

I submit myself to you this morning.  Take my life as an offering.  Give me the grace to choose obedience in every decision.  May I glorify you.  Keep me far from all temptation.  Pour out your love and grace that I may be a conduit by which they flow into the world.  Give me wisdom through the power of your spirit that I may discern what is good.  Energize my body so I may run the race set before me with endurance.  Let me fix my eyes on you so I may do only what I see you doing.  Do not let the memories of my failure condemn and distract me from the task at hand.  Bring your kingdom into this city, and let me play the part you have for me.  May I always rejoice, pray without ceasing, and give thanks to you in all circumstances.  May the thoughts of my mind, emotions of my heart, words of my mouth, and works of my hands be acceptable in your sight.
