Rhythm

Heavenly Father,

I am off my rhythm this morning. So often, when I need you most, I want you least. I long to divert myself with fleeting distractions. Keep me focused on this moment where you and I are together. Protect me from the temptation to hide part of myself from you and me. May I come as I am before the throne and jump in your lap. I need to know I am loved this morning. Strength me in my inner being so that I might fathom the height, depth, and length of your love for me. Fill me with the faith that I need to follow you throughout the day. Shower your grace on this ungrateful and underserving world. Sustain us again through another day. Conform it a little more into the paradise you intend for it to be. Lead me not into temptation. I am fragile and fear I may break at its coming. Strengthen me this morning so that I may stand firm through life’s storms.
