Shadows

Heavenly Father,

We can see glimpses of your unfathomable attributes in this world you have created. In man, we can perceive a blurry image of your greatness. As we delve into the mysteries of the cosmos, hints of your story can be deduced. But you have not left us to know you only circuitously. You are a God who speaks. The voice with the power to cause being itself to come from nothing has whispered in our hearts. The same breath that called forth light is breathed into my nostrils to give me life. And by the spirit that raised you, son from the dead, your scriptures were inspired and shepherded through the centuries that we may know you. We may know you. It is beyond imagining. We rejoice as only the redeemed can. We praise your gloriously revealed name as only your image bearers are able. We give thanks as only those brought from death into abundant life may.
