Steadfast Love

Heavenly Father,

Your love is steadfast. It persists through my best days and my worst days. It showers on me even when I don’t realize it. When I feel most down and alone, you are nearby. Teach me to notice you. Teach me to reach out for your hand when things feel dire. May I take refuge from the storms of life in the shadow of your wing. You are the light that illuminates our path. Though we often wish you would shine out farther ahead, you give us what we need. Help me to be content with my ignorance of the future and to trust in your steadfast love. You have been sufficient for the days that have gone by, and I know you will be sufficient for the days ahead. I am often anxious about the future or wish the past was different. I want to live in the now with you, my friend and God. The future is in your hands, and the past has brought me to you. I rejoice in you. Be with me for the rest of my life.
