The Lord's Day

Heavenly Father,

This is the day that you have made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day you have set apart for worship and rest. Help me to pursue you throughout this day. Be with your body as it gathers in locations around the world. May your spirit inhabit the praises of your people. Speak your truth into our minds and hearts through the voices of those who proclaim your word today. Give rest to the weary, comfort to the afflicted, and dignity to the despised. May your church arise today and glorify you as one. With every tongue in every way, receive all laud and honor. Protect the parts of your body that are persecuted. Strengthen them so that they may faithfully follow you through dangerous paths. Let your light shine into the deepest darkness so you cannot be ignored. Transform this fallen world so that your love and justice reign supreme.
