Spur to Love

Heavenly Father,

Spur me to greater love this morning.  Increase my impulse to treat those around me with grace and compassion.  Fan the embers of my love for you into a raging fire.  May my affections be appropriately ordered.  Realign my behavior so that obedience is my reflex.  Give me the wisdom to know your will and the desire to carry it out in all situations.  Protect me from the fiery arrows of the enemy.  Keep my heart from temptation.  Never let me take my gaze off of your glorious visage.  Let praise for you bubble up through my soul throughout the day.  Fill me with gratitude for all that you have done.  Renew my mind in the truth that I may more and more be transformed into the new creature you have made me.
