Walk in Your Paths

Heavenly Father,

You have made this day. In your sovereign power, you have ordained the unfolding of it. Grant me the grace to walk in the good works you have prepared in advance. So often, my actions feel rote and uninspired. Reveal to my heart that I can glorify you in even the smallest acts. May I reflect the glory of your image to those I encounter today. Help me to meditate on your truth in my moments of idleness. You are indeed God. I praise you as I look forward to the day ahead. I thank you as I reflect on the past. I acknowledge my need for you. Protect me from the attacks of the evil one. Guard me against the temptations of my own flesh. Bring your kingdom to this city today.
