Walking Your Path

Heavenly Father,

You have prepared good deeds in advance that I may walk in them. Keep my feet steady on the path. Do not let me stray to the right or the left. In the moments when some earthly pleasure catches my eye, shine forth your glory to draw my attention back to you. Protect me from temptations and distractions. Give me the self-control to overcome the desires of the fallen flesh. Pour out your mercy and forgiveness upon me when I wander that I may quickly return to your way. Shower me in your love and grace so that I may love all with whom I interact. You are the Lord, my God. Beside you, there is no other. You alone cause the sun to rise and set. You hold the very fabric of reality together with your divine power. You direct the courses of the nations. Though I can only perceive the smallest fragment of your being, it leaves me awestruck. I stand in silent worship. I erupt with shouts of praise. May your name be honored in all generations.
