Warrior

Heavenly Father,

You are a mighty warrior. You strengthen my arms to do battle with evil. You are a refuge for all those who seek you. The evil in this world cowers before your justice. Though I am assailed, I will not fear, for you are with me. You ride on the wings of the wind. Your voice thunders forth from the heavens shattering the greatest of mountains. The seas roar at your coming; fire flashes from the breath of your nostrils. None can stand against you when you come in your fearsome power. The victory is yours, mighty God. In vain do the nations plan to thwart your purposes. You will bring about your will on earth, Sheol, and heaven. Rescue me, loving father. To your people, you show yourself merciful. The voice that shatters the skies speaks words of tender encouragement to the downtrodden. The arms that send forth arrows of fire against your enemies compassionately embrace the weak. You are fighter and counselor, warrior and comforter, almighty and caring. In every action, you are entirely yourself, exhibiting all of your attributes in perfect measure. You are the answer to every cry of my heart. I worship you.
