Wisdom from Above

Heavenly Father,

You are from above. You speak the words of heaven. Our earthly minds need help to understand your truth. We were made in your image, but the stain of sin hinders our ability to comprehend you. Empower us by your spirit to grasp the breadth and length, height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. We are your workmanship, the product of your loving hands. You have knit us together. Your loving design shows through the layers of fallenness surrounding our souls. Burn away everything that obscures your image within us with your holy fire. Let your grace and truth flow through us into this desperate and hurting world. Use as instruments of your peace to restore all we encounter to your glorious plan. May we be recognized by the way we love your body and the world.
